Excessive rains pose a risk for wheat

Wheat has dipped a bit again after gaining strength last week. Reason is weak demand since there are few offers available for the new crop. Anticipation is that production will drop in Russia as the crop ranges 30% lower in the south of the country. Exports from Russia and Ukraine have, therefore, witnessed a slow start. Russia only exported 604,000 mt of wheat on 1-10 July, which is a far cry from the 2.4 million mt shipped in the same period last year.
