Hazelnuts: Delivery delays are becoming a problem

Reduced imports render exports difficult
The economic crisis is wreaking havoc in Turkey. Imports have declined significantly. This in turn also means that there is shift in the way transports work. Suppliers are finding it more difficult to find sufficient means of transportation and exporters are struggling in shipping products to Europe. This is leading to ever more delays in delivery. Demand in the European spot markets is, in addition, rising.
