ORDU. Despite the season ending in Turkey, overseas demand is still remarkably high.

Market players are very much surprised by the most recent export data. Turkey shipped more than 4,000 mt last week and has so far exported 226,000 mt this season. The prices are relatively stable with nominal fluctuations.

Nominal price increases

Farmgate prices are currently expected to rise to 9 TRY/kg at the beginning of the new season. The old crop is currently trading at a slightly lower price of 8.50 TRY/kg. This increase in prices is reckoned acceptable for the sellers and buyers, leaving enough room for a volatile market throughout the season.
