Exports at 1980s level

Exporters are noting with shock that the high prices for hazelnuts are having dire consequences for Turkey’s position in the world market. As the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters’ Association (KFMİB) highlights exports have fallen back to levels last perceived in the 1980s in the first four months of the current season. The Association is calling for urgent action to prevent further price hikes in future as the current policies are unsustainable.
