NEW DELHI/BUENOS AIRES. Due to the high tariffs, Chinese importers are turning away from Indian suppliers and looking to Brazil instead. In India, the government has begun its purchases.

China's purchasing power has declined noticeably

The large peanut crop in India is putting pressure on the global market. In addition to peanuts for food consumption, peanut oil and bird feed are also affected. Prices are unchanged compared to last week. The Indian government has started buying, but the pace is slow. As farmers prefer to sell their produce to the government, arrivals at local markets have fallen drastically.
