Indian peanut prices have fallen by USD 10/mt in nominal terms compared to last week and are trading in a narrow range, as predicted by market experts. Looking at the last year, prices are currently at a very similar level and market players reckon that there will be little change in the coming weeks. Major price increases are likely to be prevented by the fact that the government of Gujarat, which has large quantities of peanuts, has now released them for sale at favourable prices.
