Government sales dampen interactions with growers

Although peanut prices are unchanged compared to last week, market experts believe that a further decline is inevitable in the near future. The Gujarat state government is holding weekly auctions, which is discouraging local traders from buying the crop from farmers. Wholesale demand is also declining due to the upcoming summer months.
