NEW DELHI. Compared to last week, peanut prices in India have skyrocketed and there is no end in sight. There are several reasons for this.

Indian goods in focus

Indian peanut prices have soared by USD 60/mt compared to last week, and market experts believe that the upper end has not yet been reached. Traders expect export demand to increase exponentially in the next two to three weeks as Argentina has reduced its estimates by about 35% and Sudan is facing a political crisis that makes it difficult to compete internationally. Thus, Indian goods will increasingly come into the focus of buyers.
