Not much has happened in the blue poppy seed market in the Czech Republic in recent days. Demand remains unusually sluggish for this time of year. Traders are hesitant to buy as they are not sure what way demand will tun in the next few months. Many also still hold large supplies purchased in spring and summer. Refiners and consumers are also buying less blue poppy seeds than last year. Producers, however, refuse to sell at lower prices as production costs are simply too high for this.
