MANISA. Subdued demand for sultanas and raisins is weighing on exports. Exchange rate fluctuations are posing additional challegnes for suppliers in Turkey.

Low risk of nighttime frost

Daytime temperatures are expected to range at 20C in Turkey this week. Local frosts have, however, occurred at night, especially in Manisa. Although nighttime frosts do not pose anyserious threat at present, it is important to observe developments in the vineyards. Reliable production estimates cannot be issued at present.
