Frosty surprise in Turkey

Frost and snow covered the vines in Manisa last week. Although the growers did their best to mitigate any damages, frostbites, nevertheless, occurred. The exact extent of the damage will, however, only emerge over the next few days. Although mainly early varieties such as table grapes are affected, grapes that will later be transformed into sultanas have also been damaged. The weather is currently sunny, springlike conditions prevail and rain has been forecast towards the end of the week. Frost. nevertheless, remains a risk factor until May
