MADISON/OTTAWA. Difficult weather conditions have led to crop losses in the growing regions of the USA for the second year in a row. Demand, however, remains high.

Firm prices until autumn

According to the latest report of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC), the cranberry crop for 2020 will reach around 526,000 mt, which represents an increase of 3% over the previous year. However, the yield remains below average; with the current acreage, around 590,000 mt could have been harvested, but bad weather conditions in the US growing regions have put a spanner in the farmers' works for the second year in a row.
