AYDIN. Turkish traders report continued good exports and an ongoing shortage of raw materials on the market. Frost damage has been moderate so far.

Hardly any farmgate goods available

Market players explain that there is still a great demand for dried figs and exports are running at full speed. The problem is that hardly any raw materials suitable for export are available on the free market. Only the few exporters who have stocked up in time can still offer them. Farmgate prices have increased slightly and are between TRY 25 and 30/kg, export prices can still fluctuate strongly depending on the supplier.
