Good demand keeps prices up

Czech market players continue to report comparatively high demand. Farmers are taking advantage of this and are holding back their supplies, which is having an impact on spot offers. Czech blue poppy seeds arecurrently traded at prices of EUR 1.91-1.96/kg FCA Czech Republic. However, the higher the desired quality, the more difficult the goods are to procure. Meanwhile, export prices for poppy seeds from Turkey are trending somewhat lower.
