DALIAN. Sowing for the new crop has started in China and sales by seed companies do not bode well. Meanwhile, prices continue their upward trend.

Significant decline in cultivation

The already high prices on the Chinese pumpkin seed market have risen again this week. There are several reasons for this. First, growers have started sowing the new crop and the outlook is anything but rosy. According to Chinese seed companies, 30% less shine skins were sold than last year, and sowing of GWS seeds could even be down by up to 60%.
