Pumpkin seeds: buyers switch to GWS kernels

DALIAN. Due to the large crop volume, the prices for Chinese GWS kernels have fallen sharply in recent weeks. Buyers are taking advantage of this and are increasingly switching from shine skins to GWS kernels.

Harvest is completed

Due to weak demand on both the domestic and export market, prices for Chinese shine skins continue to decline. All producing countries have now completed their harvests and most of the new goods are in the growers' warehouses. Suppliers, however, only have small quantities left and are not currently stocking up, but are only buying what they need to fulfil their contracts. In northwest China, more cases of Covid are being reported and many areas there are temporarily closed off so that producers cannot transport the pumpkin seeds to the factorie
