DALIAN. Due to weak demand, the Chinese pumpkin seed market is currently very quiet. Speculators are trying to sell their shine skins, while there are few offers for GWS kernels.

Good prospects for the new shine skin crop

Low demand is causing prices to decline in the Chinese pumpkin seed market and there is little trading activity. However, weather conditions are good and the plants of the new crop are growing promisingly, according to Chinese growers. With so little buying interest both domestically and overseas, speculators try hard to sell their old crop commodities. In particular, they still have large quantities of shine skins.
