DALIAN. After the prices for Chinese raw kernels had fallen continuously in the past weeks, they have now increased again. The reason for this is the rising demand.

Speculators demand high prices

The shine skin market has picked up slightly again, with raw kernel prices rising to CNY 16.8/kg from CNY 16.2/kg last week. It is estimated that there are still about 60,000 mt of raw materials in the market, much of it in the warehouses of large speculators and the rest with small traders. However, stocks are declining rapidly as consumption is around 10,000 mt per month, according to market players.
