BEIJING. Harvesting will start in August and there is no need for concern in China. That is if the current weather conditions prevail. Buyers, however, prefer to wait for the new pumpkin seed crop.

Prices remain stubbornly high

Trading is still largely subdued in China. Demand is low, which is normal for this time of the year as buyers prefer to wait for the new crop. Harvesting will start at the end of August through to the end of October and first shipments will be available by mid-September. Although first enquiries are being made, the buyers are waiting for more detailed information on the new crop.
