BEIJING. Holidays are about to start in China. While the prices for Shine Skins are expected to decline further, speculators continue to romp in the GWS market.

Prices range USD 0.50/kg higher than last year

Hulled GWS pumpkin kernels are highly popular with speculators this season. The market is small enough to create artificial supply squeezes and to drive up prices with a few targeted investments. Added to this, demand is nearly exclusively limited to the export market. Some suppliers, therefore, already refrain from offering GWS kernels at all.
