DALIAN. Sowing is continuing in the Chinese growing regions and market players are firmly expecting a significantly larger crop than last year. Prices have stabilised.

No price changes

The pumpkin seed market is currently stable and there are no price changes compared to last week. The current price for shine skins is already so close to the production price that hardly any profits can be made. The speculators, who have a large part of the remaining old crop at their disposal, are refusing to offer their goods at even lower prices; they prefer to wait and see whether demand on the domestic market will pick up again in July and August. Shine skins, grade A still cost USD 3,030/mt CFR EMP.
