DALIAN. Market players who are currently getting an overview of the shine skin growing regions have only positive things to report - the crop is expected to be significantly larger than last year. The picture on the GWS market is completely different.

Harvest starts next month

In early September, the shine skin harvest will start in the northwestern growing regions of China. Some traders who are already on the ground to get an idea of the conditions report that the situation is almost perfect, so a very good crop is expected. Current yield estimates are 910-1,030 kg per acre - last year it was only 600 kg. As sowing was also 30% higher than last year, large quantities of shine skins are expected for the 2023/24 season. Currently, about 10,000 mt of old crop product is expected to be available on the market. Taken
