DALIAN. Due to the current market developments in China and the closure of some growing areas, speculators have much less power than usual, which, according to traders, makes for a peaceful mood. How long this peace will last, however, is questionable.

Stable prices

After the strict Covid policy was relaxed a little in the northwestern growing regions of China, the pumpkin seed market was able to stabilise. It is now much easier for suppliers to get raw kernels from most regions, although there are still closures in some areas. However, a Chinese trader told the AUDITOR editorial team that Chinese market players have meanwhile got used to the situation and that it even brings certain advantages.
