DALIAN. In the second half of April, sowing for the coming crop starts in China and preparations are already in full swing. Meanwhile, buyers in the shine skin market are becoming more active again.

Buying picks up pace

Export prices for shine skins, grade A are showing a downward trend, while farmgate prices have been holding their level of around CNY 16.5/kg since last week. Chinese traders report that buying picked up last week and the situation is slowly improving. They expect more orders this week as some suppliers stock up on raw materials. Experts believe that market prices will hold at current levels for a while and market players are watching closely to see if demand continues or even increases further.
