Pumpkin seeds: price increases expected soon

DALIAN. At the moment, low demand from overseas is keeping export prices at a moderate level, but Chinese traders expect that there will be increases after the Chinese New Year, when the sowing season for the new crop approaches.

An interesting price trend is currently emerging on the Chinese pumpkin seed market. Market players are reporting that commodity prices are rising; a large proportion of the shine skin product is in the hands of speculators who are holding back their supplies in the hope of price increases. Farmers only have very small stocks left and it is currently difficult for buyers to obtain high-quality goods.
