BEIJING. The Chinese pumpkin seed market is lacking demand, while speculators have had little success so far. The approaching Christmas holidays and Chinese New Year should ensure that there are only few price corrections in the export market.

Speculators try to drive up prices

Raw material supplies of Chinese pumpkin seed farmers continue to run low, which is why prices rose slightly this week. For shine skins, farmgate prices increased from CNY 17.50/kg to CNY 17.90/kg compared to last week.
