NEW DELHI/ABUJA. While the official forecasts promise a good sesame seed crop for the Indian market, crop damage could prevent this quantity from being achieved.

Winter season ensures good demand

Since the Diwali celebrations in India, sesame seed prices have been on the rise. During the winter season, there is also increased demand for the oilseed in the domestic market, which should give prices an additional boost.
