Sesame seeds: good crop prospects in Burkina Faso

NEW DELHI/ABUJA. Pakistan was able to win the sesame seed tender, but not all bids were accepted and the tender was again not fully met. Meanwhile, a good crop is expected in Burkina Faso, with growers due to start work at the end of October.

Indian exporters go empty-handed

The Indian sesame seed market remains quiet these days. Despite slight corrections in recent weeks, sesame seed prices are still at a relatively high level, which was now also noticeable in the current tender from South Korea. Indian exporters were unable to secure a position in last week's tender for a total of 1,800 mt, and instead Pakistan won the tender completely for itself.
