Sesame seeds: Indian exporters have no chance

NEW DELHI. The current tender from South Korea has been finalised. Indian exporters had to come to terms with the fact that, despite high expectations, they had no chance against the competition.

Nigeria scores highly in tender

Indian sesame seed traders were the main suppliers in the last tender for South Korea. In view of the situation in the Red Sea, the exporters had thought they had good chances for this tender too and hoped to have a price advantage over other growing countries - they had wanted to contribute around 8,000 to 9,000 mt of the 12,000 mt of sesame seeds put out to tender.
