Sesame seeds: suppliers in India stand good chance

NEW DELHI. As prices in India are firm and highly competitive suppliers stand a good chance in the new sesame seed tender from South Korea. The market expects the tender to be issued at the end of January.

New tender at the end of January

Prices are very much fixed in India at present and can easily compete with the offers in Pakistan, China and Africa. As rumour has it that South Korea will issue a tender at the end of the month the market is expected to remain firm for the time being. Suppliers in India reckon that they stand good chances to win bids. The Pongal Festival, which is celebrated from 14 till 17 January, has however driven up domestic demand.
