Sesame seeds: tender to be repeated

NEW DELHI. Exporters get a second chance to participate in the tender as it will be repeated at the end of this month. The Indian sesame seed market is slowly easing again, which also has an impact on prices.

New bidding at the end of February

After the bid prices of the last sesame seed tender did not meet the expectations of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the tender is now being repeated. Again, a total of 10,500 mt will be requested, divided into 4,500 mt for delivery by the end of April and 6,000 mt for delivery by the end of May. Bids will be accepted on 23 February and evaluated on the same day. At the end of January, bid prices were on average up to 250 USD/mt higher than what the organisation had calculated.
