Ramadan makes for sluggish markets

The Turkish dried fruit market has been particularly quiet in recent days due to the celebrations marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. The rest of this week is also likely to be characterised by low trading activity, as the coming days will also be public holidays. The weather is expected to remain rainy until the end of the week, with daytime temperatures of a fresh 19-21°C.

Prices remain unchanged from last week, with commodity prices for sultanas, type 9 remaining at TRY 85-100/kg and export prices at USD
