Sultanas: growers dissatisfied with commodity prices

MANISA. While TARİŞ has now published purchase prices for sultanas from the new crop, the TMO remains silent. Nevertheless, growers are dissatisfied.

TARİŞ bids too low

In Turkey, the official start of the sultana season is just around the corner, and although heavier rainfall in recent months would have been desirable, the continuing dry weather means that the sultanas are likely to emerge from the drying period without any moisture-related loss of quality. With daily temperatures of 34-37°C, it is also slightly cooler.
