Sultanas: growers make important preparations

MANISA. In Manisa, growers are preparing for the table grape harvest, while at the same time taking precautions to protect the fruit remaining in the fields. In the coming week, the market will remain largely closed due to the declared holiday week for the Feast of the Sacrifice, and whether the TMO will make further raw material salesthis season depends heavily on demand.

Temperatures are finally rising

After some heavy rain showers with local flooding, temperatures rose again in many Turkish provinces, including Manisa. The focus of market players is on the new crop. Sultana production is estimated at 300,000 mt this year; weather conditions during the remaining ripening period as well as the drying period continue to be decisive for the final result.
