Sultanas: the pleas have been heard

MANISA/TEHRAN. The wish of Turkish market players to announce the prices for sultanas earlier this year seems to be fulfilled promptly: President Erdoğan has announced his visit to Manisa for 20 August. Turkish exports continue to do well - in stark contrast to Iran's exports.

Fight against pesticides

There is plenty of activity on the Turkish sultana market at the moment. The harvest of fresh grapes has begun and this year's export of seedless table grapes also started on Tuesday (8 Aug); this had earned Turkey just over USD 160 million in foreign exchange in 2021.
