MANISA. Concerns are spreading in the Turkish sultana market that the unseasonal temperatures could have negative consequences for the crop. Meanwhile, trading activity remains moderate.

Cooler nights remain

The rise in temperatures in the growing regions of the Turkish province of Manisa is causing concern in the sultana market that this could have a negative impact on the vines. At this point in time, however, the weather developments are not a cause for concern, according to market players, as temperatures at night remain low enough at 6-8°C. However, temperatures during the day are expected to remain above average for this time of year at 17-18°C, with occasional rain showers.
