MANISA. The Turkish sultana market is facing new frost concerns caused by the current weather forecasts. Rising commodity prices cannot be ruled out.

Cold nights expected

After last week's relatively cool and rainy weather, the Turkish weather service is forecasting that the cold front arriving from the Balkan region is likely to drop night-time temperatures to around 3 °C in the coming days. This could even lead to frost in some parts of Manisa, which would put the vines under considerable stress.
