MANISA/PEKING. Chinese dried fruit exporters are reporting lower demand for table grapes, which could lead to an increase in sultana and raisin production. These expectations are also reflected in prices.

Cheap offers for the new crop from China

As recently as June, experts had estimated the production of dried grapes in China at 135,000 metric tonnes, which would have been a decline of 15,000 metric tonnes compared to last year. Instead, some optimistic market players are now speculating on a production result of up to 250,000 metric tonnes.
