SOFIA/KYIV. Reactions are quite diverse over the European Union's decision not to extend the import ban for certain agricultural products from Ukraine to neighbouring member states beyond 15 September.

Ukraine plans to issue licences for exporting corn, wheat and rapeseed as well as sunflower seeds to neighbouring EU member states, which will be provided by the Ministry of Economy in conjunction with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food as official statements indicate. Trade representatives in Ukraine also state that they intend to take Poland, Hungary and Slovakia to court as these three countries continue to prohibit imports to protect domestic producers, although the temporary EU measures have expired.
