SOFIA/KYIV. Market players report good demand from China, while shipments to Europe continue to decline. This is also reflected in prices.

The sunflower seed market had to overcome some hurdles last year. Smaller crops in many growing countries reduced availability, but at the same time Russia's war against Ukraine meant that the country had to ship many times more sunflower seeds overseas instead of processing them in the domestic market as usual.
