Sunflower seeds: still no price declines

SOFIA. In the Bulgarian sunflower seed market, prices have still not achieved the long-awaited turnaround. According to market players, this is caused by various factors.

No sign of easing

Sunflower seed prices should have fallen by the start of harvest at the latest, having reached their highest level in more than eight and a half years as recently as March 2021. Delays in sowing and harvesting are causing a tense market situation despite good yield prospects.
