NEW DELHI. Indonesia rejected several Indian peanut shipments last week due to excessive aflatoxin levels, and Vietnam is now following suit. This puts Indian exporters in a difficult position - and the market is facing further hurdles.

Peanut prices in India continue to fluctuate and have risen by 10 USD/mt compared to last week. The market is currently facing a number of hurdles, with the import ban on Indian peanuts imposed by the Indonesian government being one of the main problems. Excessive aflatoxin levels were found in some Indian shipments, and imports were subsequently halted.
