Peanuts: fighting aflatoxin

NEW DELHI. A new treatment method is intended to reduce the risk of aflatoxin contamination and ensure better quality. For the time being, the problems for Indian peanut exporters remain, while the situation on the domestic market looks somewhat better.

Still no exports to Indonesia

Peanut prices in India are showing slight growth of USD 10/mt this week and stand at USD 1,180/mt FOB India for peanuts, Bold, 40-50 in non-EU quality. The challenges regarding exports to Southeast Asian countries remain; Indonesia and Vietnam have temporarily suspended imports of Indian peanuts due to excessive aflatoxin levels.
