Peanuts: global crop slightly down

NEW DELHI/REUS. According to the latest INC estimates, this year's global peanut crop will be slightly lower than last year's, even though the main producing countries have been able to increase their production. In India, growers still have cause for concern.

Indian peanut prices remain under pressure this week. Arrivals at the mandis continue to rise, and traders and stockists are showing little buying interest due to quality problems and weak export demand.
