NEW DELHI/ATLANTA. Prices on the Indian peanut market have risen again, although this price trend is extremely volatile. In the USA, much depends on how international trade policy develops; at present, buyers are rather hesitant.

Exporters want to tap into new markets

As in the previous week, Indian peanut prices have risen slightly. However, the only reason given by local market players is the decline in arrivals on the markets, meaning that further price developments are uncertain. This decline is mainly due to steady government purchases, with the minimum support price only slightly higher than the market price.
