NEW DELHI. Although prices on the Indian peanut market have risen slightly compared to last week, the near future looks less rosy. The world market is turbulent.

China rejects shipments from Brazil

Peanut prices in India have risen slightly this week, but there are few factors that could support the market in the near future. China has rejected large shipments from Brazil due to excessive aflatoxin levels, and Brazilian peanuts are therefore not currently the first choice for international buyers.
