NEW DELHI/BUENOS AIRES. A number of factors suggest that Indian peanut prices, which are currently stagnating, could soon rise slightly. In Argentina, there is uncertainty regarding the crop volume, as there is in Brazil.

China is buying more peanut oil again

Prices on the Indian peanut market are unchanged from last week and market players are cautiously optimistic that there could soon be a slight improvement. Nearly 350 containers of peanut oil were bought by Chinese importers last week at a price of USD 1,495 to 1,515/mt. Now Indian exporters have raised the price to between USD 1,530 and 1,550/mt, but not a single order at these prices has been made yet.
