NEW DELHI/BUENOS AIRES. India has started exporting the summer crop and international buyers can secure attractive offers here. In North and South America, the situation is partially very tense, which is mainly due to the shortage of goods.

Good position for India

Market players in India expect peanut prices to struggle throughout May. It had already become apparent in April that trade stalled as soon as prices rose only slightly. In Gujarat, arrivals have slowed down, but the crop from West Bengal is increasingly reaching the markets and is being offered at more favourable prices than the product from Gujarat.
