Sultanas: TMO to purchase more than intended

MANISA. The TMO initially intended to buy a total of 50,000 mt of sultanas in Turkey this season. Now the chairman of the state-run organisation has stated that this volume may well be exceeded.

TMO to continue to buy until the end of the year

According to the TMO Chairman, 10,000 mt of sultanas have been purchased and paid for so far. Additional purchases of 40,000 mt are to follow. Growers will be able to sell to the TMO until 31 December. He also stated that volumes will not necessarily be capped at 50,000 mt.
