MANISA. Despite the comparatively low prices, Turkish exporters are dissatisfied with the demand situation. Meanwhile, the INC has announced the preliminary production results for global sultana and raisin production.

Hesitant activities on both fronts

The drastic increase in the value of the Turkish lira last week is unsettling exporters. The price indications for sultanas, grade A, type 9 are USD 1.70-1.85/kg FOB Izmir, but some suppliers are holding back with offers for the time being. There is also little interest from the buyer's side at present, the few enquiries are usually for spot purchases.
